If the collection agency first gets a court judgment, they can attach bank accounts. They cannot directly intercept a Social Security check.
Hey, i just got an external harddrive. I know drag and drop, but i cant move my collection without it messing up on itunes. Is there a way i can move them all, and not have to relocate my 1000+ songs?? Thank you… Oh, and i like to have a main music folder, then folders for all the artists… K. Thank you!
Use windows explorer to drag n’ drop your files. Once you’ve moved them all you can categorize them as you see fit. Then you’ll have to delete all the songs in your iTunes library and re-add them from the external drive (you can just drag and drop the entire music folder back to iTunes). Assuming that these are all the same files, it shouldn’t mess anything up. It’ll just take a while to recompile the library. iTunes merely keeps track of where your music is stored and displays them in a single interface. Personally, I hate iTunes with a passion but forced to use it because of my iPhone.
I have a collection account on my credit report from my previous landlord. The house was in foreclosure, so I moved out. I sop owe 8000 some dollars, but it is more like 4000. How can I get the collection agency to give me the accounting for this? Btw this is like from 6 months ago, so I dont think they will care if I give them a letter of validation.

I would call them and ask for it if they don’t send it within a week or so then send them a certified letter for validation if they don’t respond then dispute it with the credit agency’s they will then have 30 days do what they need to do.

I have been able to find some of the cards individually and and whole set of them for sell on ebay, however these cards were all cut and individuals. My set is completely uncut. I will be greatful if anyone can help me solve this! Thank You!
You could fairly sell them individually, for about $2.50. Depending on which cards at least. I’m not sure how much it would be in the whole set.
Can you tell me who owns and runs the collection agencies and debt management programs? Are they owned by the banks and credit card issuers?
I can buy an unpaid contract from anybody and then try to collect on it. That’s what the "or successors" means in the agreement…it can be transferred to somebody else.
A lot of times the owner is a lawyer, because he doesn’t have to hire a lawyer to take you to court; he can do it himself.
I recently inherited my dad’s stamp collection. It is very thorough. I would like to sell the collection and put the funds toward my student loan. Dad never cataloged the collection, but said it had an approximate value of $14,000. I recently bought the EZ Stamp program to begin cataloging everything, but it is such a daunting task…there are more than 15 very full albums, as well as thousands of envelopes of extra duplicate stamps. I am completely overwhelmed, but I want to get a reasonable amount for everything. Help!

So, I think it better to learn what you have before.
Most of stamps are worth 5 to 20 cents each. Even 100-year-old stamp could worth less than 1 dollar.
You need to get (buy) stamp catalogues and find your stamps there.
After this you can sort your stamps as a rare (which you suspect as a rare) and rubbish. (which definitely worth less than $1).

I have a collection agency saying they have a court ordered judgment from back in 2000. I have worked up until 2006 when I had a heart attack and became disabled I receive social security not SSI. Can they garnish this?
A collection agency can’t garnish anything. They have no such power. Tell them to get bent.

I collect 2 things, snowglobes and millefiori paperweights. I’ve been collecting both for years but don’t have huge collections of either.
I only add to one of my collections when I see something I really love. I want to end up with GREAT collections that gives me lots of pleasure, rather than BIG collections of things that aren’t so great that I bought just to increase the size of my collections.
